JOB TITLE: Data Quality Associate
LOCATION: Baltimore, MD
CONTRACT TERM: Long-Term
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00am-5:00pm, except State Holidays. A flexible schedule is required for potential support outside of normal work hours and workdays.

Overview: The Data Quality Associate supports our client’s Energy Management Information Systems team. Primary responsibilities include preparing data received from multiple sources for import into a central database. Intermediate Excel skills are necessary including formulas, data manipulation and standardization, and pivot tables. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid Excel skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three to five years of advanced Microsoft Excel work experience combining and analyzing data from various sources, and generating reports and graphics
- Strong analytical skills and technical orientation.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interface with all levels within our clients' organizations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with reliable time management, follow through skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, and grasp new concepts quickly
- Must possess a strong sense of teamwork and the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- High level of accountability and ownership. Ability to "get-it-done" and follow through.
- Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work with a high level of independence and autonomy.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and wear a variety of hats.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and context switch effectively between different activities and teams.
- Energy industry experience a plus.
- Manipulating and analyzing complex energy data sets from various sources to upload, to audit and to correct as needed.
- Creating, implementing, and maintaining data file structures.
- Maintaining a document management quality assurance and quality control programs to allow organizations to capture, store, retrieve, and share electronic utility data.
- Ensuring procedures are being properly documented.
- Providing ad-hoc reporting in response to client specific requests, including energy trend analysis, procurement reporting, and bill reconciliation.
- Configuring and maintaining report distribution processes.
- Assisting with resolving utility account issues.
- Updating and maintaining utility and building information within the database to ensure consistency and accuracy of reporting.
- Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues and documenting changes.
- Assisting other analysts with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Participating on special projects which may include developing scripts and customizing applications, OCR program administration, or deploying new processes and systems.
- Assisting with other duties and tasks as needed.
