Position: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (CCNA Certification Highly Preferred)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Work Hours: Normal business hours, except for State holidays and occasional off-hours support

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Administer DHCP server, creation of scopes, reservations, and exclusions as needed.
  • Manage and administer DNS servers, creation of address mapping records, canonical name records, and reverse lookup pointer records as needed.
  • Assign and document IP addresses for workstations/servers as needed.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity on wired and wireless networks across various locations.
  • Coordinate hardware refresh of network equipment on an annual basis.
  • Troubleshoot tickets escalated from the service desk regarding network issues.
  • Update and keep current IPAM (IP Address Management) tools in the enterprise for IP space.
  • Replace existing hardware and remove the hardware and transport to a specified location.
  • Liaison with network managed services provider WAN team for completing network configuration tasks, and project work.
  • Work in cooperation with the current contractors as well as other staff.
  • Attend internal staff meetings as requested.
  • Assist in the development of installation instructions/standard operating procedures for network hardware.
  • Other related duties as assigned by IT Division Management.

Requirements: At least three (3) years’ experience in each of the following:
  • Providing Tier 2-3 IT support to customers in a Service Desk environment regarding network troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting PC end-to-end connectivity across an enterprise network.
  • Microsoft Active Directory user and device management
  • IP Address Management tools
  • Supporting a networked IT systems environment, including protocols (TCP/IP), equipment, services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
  • Configuring and supporting local and wide area networks.
  • Installing and configuring CISCO network hardware.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (Routing & Switching) preferred.
